Exploration
This project was part of a freshman studio class focused on exploring the intersection of digital and physical design. Using plant species local to the Adirondacks surrounding the university, we transformed 2D abstractions into a cohesive 3D model. The project showcased the organic rhythm of nature while emphasizing the dynamic shift from digital design to tangible forms, fostering creativity and a deeper connection to local ecology.
SKILLS DEVELOPED:
Innovative creative expression through dynamic and thoughtful design solutions
• Meticulous attention to detail in both conceptualization and execution
• Proficiency in process work development

Digital Abstractions
From the final patterns I created in Illustrator, I selected the most dynamic and visually engaging ones to further develop. By extruding these patterns within Illustrator, I transformed them into bold, unconventional shapes that reinterpreted natural forms in a fresh, abstract way. This process allowed me to explore new geometries derived from ecology, blending organic inspiration with a contemporary digital approach to design.
